Testimonials
"Mike's approach to sound is extremely musical. He takes great care in shaping sounds so that they best serve the song. And he doesn't stop until it sounds right.
As an artist who bridges the gap between various genres, I've also always loved Mike's versatility. He's just as comfortable on a hip hop banger as he is on a raw rocker or a jazz ballad. Mike is a true sculptor of sound."

"Mike continues to expand the potential of the recordings we make, both as a recording and mix engineer. It is challenging to stay surprised, making music over the course of many years. Mike’s ideas about how far a song can go, how much reach it has sonically, continue to reveal aspects I don’t even imagine about my music."

(Grandaddy, Modest Mouse, Small Isles)
"I’ve worked with Mike for more than 20 years and I can say he’s not only one of my favorite engineers to work with, he’s one of the best. We’ve worked together through many stages of the creative process from recording to mixing to even doing live front of house mixing. He has a knack for really understanding what each project calls for. He is relentless in his drive to make sure we achieve our sonic goals and always goes the extra mile to make sure we are satisfied with the end result. As a producer, I couldn’t ask for a better engineer."

"Working with Mike on our last album was one of the best decisions we made. He brought a joyful, patient, and collaborative energy to the whole process. Mike has an incredible ear for what makes a great take, and through his mixing, he brought out sonic details that many would probably overlook and helped shape the sound without ever getting in the way of our voice. He truly took our songs to another level, and we can’t wait to work with him again."
